Position Description:
The Development Coordinator works with the Foundation (board), Teacher Collective, parents and volunteers to develop and implement Walden's fundraising plan each year and for the long-term. The Coordinator is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support to achieve the goals in Walden's annual budget, with a particular focus on increasing individual giving. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
• Coordination of fundraising events
• Management of annual giving campaign
• Drafting communications regarding fundraising

Qualifications/Requirements:
• College degree, B.A. or B.S.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising
• Proven record of successful fundraising via events, annual giving drives, and donor cultivation
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to quickly build strong, positive relationships with a broad range of constituents
• Able to think strategically, problem solve, and multi-task while working on a deadline
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, familiar with Macs
• Skilled with using social media as a development tool
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

This is a contract position and most of your day-to-day work will need to occur off campus.

Compensation and hours:
This is a contract position, 10-15 hours weekly with high possibility to expand to 20-25 hours per week after six months.
