Sproxil is a startup company that provides a cloud-based service for companies in need of brand protection in developing nations. The company generates single-use codes (PINs) for scratch-off labels that may be applied to a variety of products. Consumers purchasing a labeled product may scratch the label to reveal a unique PIN which is then sent to Sproxil in the body of an SMS. Sproxil will then reply to the consumer confirming that the product is genuine (or not). The company also provides a rich web portal enabling clients to view real time graphs and statistical data of product performance in the market based on a constant stream of data aggregated in the cloud (“Big Data”). This position is intended for someone who is motivated, self-starting, and independent workers. Startup companies offer a fast paced environment with exciting opportunities to innovate and build new technologies. This position is ideal for a person who wants hands-on experience with a successful IT company and is eager to learn. The individual can expect to assist with aspects of Sproxil's technical operations including web hosting, technical documentation, system monitoring, and maintenance. QUALIFICATION: An individual with the highest levels of energy, self-direction and team spirit is required combined with superior communication skills. You must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a desire to work for a fast-paced start-up. You will have these qualifications: - Proficiency in HTML, Javascript, Java, and PHP. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a strong knowledge of these technologies during the interview process - Knowledge of Adobe/Apache Flex, MySQL, Ajax, and JQuery will be considered assets - Experience developing cross-platform, rich-internet applications is desirable - Previous experience with working in cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) is strongly preferred - High motivation and intelligence with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills - Ability to operate independently and flexibly in a start-up environment which is both demanding and multicultural - Native level fluency in spoken and written English - Ability to work in the Cambridge, MA area without relocation CONTACT: To apply for this position please send a resume and cover email to moc.lixorps|nedla#moc.lixorps|nedla with “Tech 2012” and your full name in the subject line.
